Recently, 2K president a key figure updated team members about this strategic move through an internal memo, which highlighted that playtesting had shown the need for a distinct direction.

Team—

I understand you all just completed your meeting - I hope you’re as thrilled as I am with the recent updates. Previously I sent you all a update, I mentioned the following: “I am confident in this crew. You all are some of the most dedicated and creative designers we have had the opportunity to collaborate with - and we’re excited for that relationship to continue.”

Given your hard work and adaptability, especially over the past twelve months, you repeatedly show that.

The community feedback from last autumn’s the game demo was informative. It affirmed the promise of a roguelike shooter but made clear we still had work to do. It uncovered the requirement for a clearer identity.

It has been motivating to see how far you’ve come. You embraced the feedback to heart and reimagined the title with a refreshed direction - one that’s positioned to achieve its promise to our audience.

The belief in Project ETHOS strengthens every day. To further the remarkable advancement you’ve made, I’m excited to welcome the new hire as the incoming Director of 31st Union. Following some time of talks, he officially joins us on next week.

His leadership and experience in the PVP shooter space is considerable, having devoted the last 15 years creating and managing some of the most recognizable franchises in gaming, such as Call of Duty: Black Ops, and lately, the battle royale hit.

I invite you all in greeting him next week. We are all eager to keep observing the progress of Project ETHOS in the months to follow.

The President

"Challenge the opponents with fresh skills, stakes, and obstacles that change every match. Do you withdraw carefully with your collected items? Or take a risk, risk it all, and pray your group can secure victory? The option is up to you."

Project Ethos lacks an official launch window or consoles, but fans can look forward to more updates as production progresses.
